Among the many consequences of wars around the world is forced displacement. When this is the only remaining option at hand, families leave behind a home, a field, income, their loved ones...an entire life!
For innocent kids, however, more is lost: a school, childhood friends...a familiar learning environment where teachers shape their future inch by inch.
Unfortunately, from the time conflict starts to the time families resettle in the country of asylum, several years may go by before children have an opportunity to be back to school.
As refugee parents, we believe that supporting our children to access education gives them hope for a brighter future. Through tireless effort and much needed financial support from well-wishers like you, we were able to establish a primary school. Now we would like to extend our effort to establish a secondary school.
